Focus Readings: 2 Corinthians 12:2-10 Mark 6:1-13

For faith and mission all we need is God's Grace. First in our faith all we really need is God's love and Grace - we don't need to make things complicated. Second this is also true for our mission, even though it doesn't seem like we have many resoueces when we look at carrying on the mission of the church- we have enough - for in Jesus we have God's power & authority.

The disciples had to go out with even less than we have two by two with nothing but a staff and Jesus' comission. God used them to bring transformation and healing to people's lives. "..they went out and proclaimed that all should repent. They cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them." Mark 6:12-13 (NRSV) God can and will use us to do the same.

This is scary; we may say we are too old, too young, not smart enough, we don't have enpough money or resources, but that's the whole point of this sermon & today's Bible readings. We DO have enough we have the grace & love of Jesus & we have his power & authority.

Questions for thought and discussion:

What is your vision or dream of what the church could do?

What is your vision or dream of what you could do?

How do you react to the idea that if Jesus is calling you to do those things, they can happen, because in Jesus, we have enough?
